About UsThe USS John W. Weeks (DD701) Association, Inc was founded in 1986 by Hal Gross, a former shipmate. After locating some of his former World War II shipmates, he organized the first Weeks reunion, which was held in Downingtown, Pennsylvania in September 1986. In 1988, the Association and reunions were opened to Post World War II shipmates. To date, we have had fourteen reunions throughout the United States. We now have on our roster over 657 shipmates from 1944 through 1970. We are actively searching for new shipmates to join our association. The Bureau Of Navy Personnel estimates that 4100 men served on the USS john W. Weeks over the period that she was in commission. Therefore, we need your help in locating new shipmates. Please contact Len Budzynski if you know of any shipmates not on our roster list. Finally, we have 410 active members in our association.
